On July 19th, 2015, a Pizza, Bugs, and Fun (PBF) event was organized at JDay Minnesota 2015. Although it was planned and announced late, we still had an attendance of 10 people. Jessica Dunbar and I spent the time training each person on the patch testing process. 7 out of 10 of the members were brand new to the process, and 1 just getting back into it again.

One of the members even spoke highly about how much she loved the process and was telling others about it.

As we were limited with time, everyone left with a good understanding of the process and all the resources and documents they need to continue their fun. The newcomers were able to do some testing to get their feet wet. A few PR’s were created by a user who was new as well, a great step forward.

We also ate pizza since it began at lunch time. I mean, it’s “Pizza, Bugs, and Fun”, right?

This was our first time hosting a PBF event with the new processes and hoping to make it better after each event.
