Treasurer

• The Board discussed the current bank situation and the related difficulties with accessing accounts.

• The Board is exploring the opportunity to move to another bank.

• Nadja needs to travel to New York and meet Danielle to solve banking issues.

• Robert and Nadja worked on the list of active sponsor contracts.

Production Department

• Joomla! 4.2.5 successfully released.

• Joomla! 4.3.0 Alpha 1 successfully released.

• GSoC 22 done, starting with 2023 preparation.

• New members are joining the Accessibility Team and the Experience Team.

Outreach Department

• Joomla! 4.2.5 marketing posted including the newsletter.

• Joomla! 4.3.0 Alpha 1 marketing posted.

• November Issue of the magazine published and December in production.

• Article on using Mattermost to help migration with 271 active members not on board.

• Philip shared an opportunity to partner with a gamification service, thanks to the lead created by Brian Teeman. 

• The Outreach Department is working on new options for sponsors to support the project.

Operations Department

• Issues related to the Launch platform have been increasing recently.

• JXT started working on the new website design and concept.

• A DDoS attack to another client on our hosting provider caused degraded performance to our web properties. The attack has been successfully mitigated by the provider.

• Still no plans to update our websites to Joomla 4.

• Forum received a DDoS attack yesterday, mitigated by the hosting provider. The Team is evaluating the adoption of Cloudflare to increase the protection of the forum.

• Mastodon instance is running but is waiting for SAML integration with identity.joomla.org

• We should get an entry in the DMCA Designated Agent Directory in case someone wants to file a DMCA takedown notice against any of our properties.

• SSO for several Joomla properties is planned, likely joomla.org and developer.joomla.org is next.

• Updates for documentation manual.joomla.org and internal.joomla.org are done semi automatic with Docusaurus and will be changed to fully automatically if no unexpected problems occur in the next couple of months.

• Team census

  • Capital Team has 2 active members but no Team Lead (for personal reasons), there is an ongoing discussion in the Board to restart this team.

  • The Extensions Directory Team has 6 active members.

  • Forum Team has 5 active members.

  • Trademark & Licensing Team has 2 active members (We need at least 1 more)

  • Showcase Directory Team 4 active members. Team is planned to be merged into the Community Site Team.

  • Volunteers Portal Team Only one member left, Sander finally stepped down today. Team is planned to be merged into Community Site Team

  • The Privacy Compliance Team is not active. Discussion about moving the needed tasks to the board (Privacy complaints), ending the GDPR (and other DP LAWs) advice task.

  • Webmasters Working Group, collection of members most of them will be part of the community sites team. Working Group is planned to be merged into Community Site Team

Vice President

• Nicola proposed to participate at FOSDEM 2023, sending close representatives.

• Nicola requested to choose the date for the Semi-Annual Members Meeting.

Secretary

• Luca shared some outstanding invoices from Veem and Cision received in the PO Box. The Treasurer is already working on that.

President

• Next Term as President: I am not planning to run for president the next time. I just want to give early notice.

• Working on getting Sponsors List up to date.

• No news on outstanding legal cases.

Other business

• Semi-Annual Members Meeting is planned for December 15, 2022 at 18.00 UTC.
