Welcome new (and returning) team members Todd Woodward, AK Shehu, and Ahmad Moussa.

Department Update

The department budget for 2021/2022 has been approved for $8,800.

The Policy for Domains for Events & JUGs has been drafted and passed by the board. With a policy in place, the team needs to talk with Operations to determine the way the new domains are to be managed and then promote to JUGs and Event coordinators.

Joomla User Group Update

Election held for new JUG Team Lead via a doodle and all voting team members completed voting before the end of the meeting - Congrats Todd!

The team will reach out to JUG listings before the next meeting.

The JUG TL to start a conversation with Trademark TL to look at the phrasing of the disclaimer that the JUG teams use on their sites. The two teams will have their Department Coordinators raise a board motion to implement the variation.

The current wording seems that it may apply to unregistered or inactive User Groups.

"Joomla! <USER GROUP> and <User Group Website> is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Joomla! Project™." is the part that needs to be changed.

Those updating their records would be eligible for the new phrasing (TBC) once they had updated their JUG Registration and received approval.

Proposed text:

Joomla! <USER GROUP> and <User Group Website> are registered Joomla! User Group with The Joomla! Project™.

Suggestions:

- Group should link their "Joomla! <USER GROUP>" name to their user group page at community.joomla.org

- Perhaps create a badge like Certification that registered user groups can add to their website.

Moving forward with Virtual JUGs, the Approval process, marketing, and documentation all need updating.  The team will meet and discuss how to get it down.

Added to the team’s to-do list is a process for updating the User Group Organizers listing in the volunteer portal.

Events Team Update

Work is progressing in the sandbox on the Sobipro to DPCalendar conversion.  The team will be able to review in a couple of weeks.

PBF Team Update

The team is planning their next meeting.

Next Meeting

The next full meeting will be July 10th at 20:00 UTC.

After that meeting, the teams will meet individually and the department meeting will be the DC, TLs, and ATLs only.
