Department Coordinator

During the JWC Department Sprint, the team will define the global marketing for J4 (work on the landing page / teasing blog posts, articles for magazines, web hosting companies, influencers ; press releases / video, imagery, tutorials …)

A meeting is schedule for next week to plan the Joomla! In Action (common for marketing and social media).

The general video project is on standby and needs to be re-activated, as we have no videos to present/promote the Project.  

The marketing team is not providing content. We need to find ways to attract copywriters to promote Joomla better, inside but most of all outside the community.

Lukas has nearly finished the general intro/outros files for videos which will be publicly available for all.

The communication between all Departments and the Marketing & Communication Department is nearly non-existent. It’s not possible for the teams of the department to do a correct job without real liaisons and without being aware of what’s going on in the other departments.  

A blogpost about the result of the German SEO contest will be published in the next days.

Marketing

The team would like to propose the creation of a new team under Operations ‘User Research’, which could be lead by Parth.

No other update.

Social Media

The Team Lead is going to work on images to thank Sponsors/Partners (sponsor list req.) and will do the graphic to thank Translators for their work.

The Assistant Team Lead will prepare some more copywriting for posts and will work on finding solutions/ideas to reach more people outside the community.

Due to the amount of work needed, a call for a new member will be published in the next weeks.

Community Translation

Some languages have been finished and merged on the landing page which is now available in 32 languages. Some other languages are still in progress. The translators are also working on our other projects (some have been 100% translated).

The team needs a new leader. A call will be published in the next weeks.
