Agenda Items & minutes

Department Coordinator (Marco Dings)

Talk Topics:

  1. There were a number of misunderstandings in publishing the march 10th meeting minutes. All should be resolved (except for formatting)

  2. Created a new Agenda/meeting minutes template in google doc, not table based and no special fonts etc (this one)., Can’t test atm in the actual JVP context

  3. GFORGE ( mentioned as Gforce) during the previous meeting is related to Joomla code. I misunderstood Wilco’s message. The message at the time should have read:
The servers have not been updated in 7 years, should Rochen detect any signs of a hack they will be shut down.

  4. Joomlacode server had to be hard rebooted last week. We are running an increasing risk. I propose to have a meeting with the group working on 4.0 and Wilco to see how migration can be speed up, also for older releases

  5. The RfC for RfC was discussed in the board who did not want to motion it until there was a final proposal. Subsequently it was discussed in SA&S and we should have a production wide discussion in a separate meeting (action holder NB).

  6. Motion registry spreadsheet has been updated with extra fields and enhanced result calculations

  7. Beta release for J4 should still be ultimately at JAB in may, notwithstanding that it's virtual now. See me remark in release lead section.

Updates/Proposed Topics:

  1. We need to find more testers to take care of all the a11y issues in github as right now we only have one member performing the tests. I’m trying to find testers in the community and outside the Joomla community.

Security Strike Team (David Jardin)

Talk Topics:

  1. InputFilter “magically” returns arrays even in places where non-array values are expected (i.e. the int filter), causing issues like the one fixed with
We need a long term solution for this issue. Proposals:
    a) add a new “realint” filter
    b) add a new “$supportArray” method parameter which defaults to true in 3.x and false in 4.x

Software Architecture & Strategy Team (Niels Braczek)

Talk Topics:

  1. RfC-RfC: Has been discussed by the Board (see their minutes). They want to wait until the draft is ready, before they make a decision. The draft *is* ready for an initial (entrance) vote, so not sure how to proceed.
Proposal: Give it 2 weeks to discuss it in PD from now on, then put it to *acceptance* vote (as defined in that RfC) within *this* group, thus taking the Board’s result as a successful entrance vote.

Updates/Proposed Topics:

  1. RfC-RfC: Marco will move the repo ‘joomla-x/joomla-standards’ to ‘joomla/rfc’. After discussion here.

  2. PM tool: A questionnaire had been sent out and answers collected, currently being incorporated into an initial proposal.

  3. Automated Testing: Question was raised, why ATT doesn’t make use of the Docker based virtualisation project that was created during a sprint for that purpose about three years ago. In the meantime, DPDocker has appeared, which could be useful for ATT as well.
