Joomla! Enhancement Development Team (Shivam Rajput)

Joomla! Accessibility Team (Christiane Maier-Stadtherr)

  • A Plugin, introduced by Brian Teeman (Sa11y) will be adapted for Joomla and should go into Joomla 4.1. It will give Joomla additional value as an accessible CMS, it will allow checking the main content of a page for a11y issues and give information for best practiceö.

    Benjamin Trenkle has set up the project https://github.com/joomla-projects/joomla-a11y-checker.
    Brian Teeman is working on adapting the language strings to Joomla language keys.

Release Leads (Benjamin Trenkle, George Wilson, Tobias Zulauf, Harald Leithner)

* Release Lead 4.1 (Benjamin Trenkle)

  • Features planned for 4.1 [PLEASE TEST]
    • Task Scheduler (Feature complete => Testers/Feedback needed): test here
    • UI implementation of child templates > test here and test here
    • Better support for code highlighting in TinyMCE editor > test here
    • Improvement of language support within articles > test here
    • Enhancement of the Media Manager Web Service > test here
    • Accessibility Checker for authors > test here

* Release lead 3.10 (Tobias Zulauf):

  • Joomla 3.10.3 has been released on the 26th October
  • Would be great to get some more tests on the PRs for 3.10.4
  • Joomla 3.10.4-rc1 is expected to be released on the 27th November 2021
  • Joomla 3.10.4 is expected to be the last 3.10 release in 2021 and to be released on the 07. December 2021

* Maintainer Framework (Niels Braczek):

Bug Squad Team (Jacob Waisner)

  • Bug Sprint had a low turnout. Looking to improve with more lead time to the event allowing more time for marketing and notice for those wishing to join.

CMS Release Team (Sigrid Gramlinger)

  • We need better collaboration between the CMS Release Team and the Release Leads. The team is working on finding a way to get more involved in the release process itself.
