Anita Wos

Web Developer, eCommerce pro, Project Manager, Sales & Marketing - I've been creating, repairing and upgrading websites since 1996 so have worked with a wide variety of tools. I've sold all sorts of high-tech equipment, such as customized solar power systems, scientific equipment, and for a few years, managed a consumer electronics store. I have owned and operated several e-commerce sites where I sold sports related art, cards and gifts. Having sold all sorts of items and services (on and offline) makes me comfortable working with e-commerce websites. - Outside of work you can find me at the barn with my horse, or building/crafting/fixing up all sorts of things.

I have been to several JoomlaDays and JoomlaCamps (Boston, Florida, and NYC), and always enjoy them.  Most recently, I have started the Worcester, MA USA Joomla User Group in an effort to strengthen the Joomla! community in our area.

Before using Joomla, I have used HTML, CGI (remember that?), PHP, Dreamweaver, and other tools as they came along. My preference has been for open source software, whenever available. I have used many shopping cart scripts/packages/services from the very beginning of the web. I have a fair amount of experience with OpenCart. I began using Joomla as a way to add other functions to OpenCart sites. Now I have shifted my work more to Joomla, with some Opencart, Magento and WordPress thrown in the mix, depending on what the customer has and/or needs. My preference is to work in Joomla, and my focus is on repairing and upgrading existing sites. I like the puzzle of it.
