About me:
My passion for Joomla arose when Joomla was started and split from Mambo. I have been working with Joomla since version 1.0 and since version 2.5 all the websites I have created have been developed with the beautiful Joomla CMS. Joomla is my hobby. I also write Dutch step-by-step guides for Joomla, helping users of all levels build and manage their websites.
In july 2026 I stopped as a Joomla Volunteer, and as a member to organize JUG043 Maastricht meetups for the Joomla User Group in Limburg, Netherlands, and contribution to JoomlaDagen Netherlands by helping with event organization and delivering presentations.
In my professional life, I have been active in ICT since 2000 and currently work as an Information Risk & Security Officer. I focus on Risk, Governance, and Compliance, with experience in various ISO and NEN certifications as well as ITIL processes. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, photography, watching F1, listening to music, and cooking.
