In 1990, Akarawuth started his career in software development, from programming inventory system, production formula application, Novell netware client-servers installation as well as providing support services to different IT system in the private sector. Then in 2003 he became fully involved in Open Source movement as a developer. He initiated the website MamboHub.com as a community for Mambo's enthusiasts. The web site became popular among different organizations both in the Public and the Private sectors. Thanks to his dedication and commitment, as well as his consultation and training provided to others, and on top of it, the Thai localization being developed and distributed, Akarawuth could introduce in a group of new blood and set up Lai Thai team to develop many Mambo's extensions. During 2006 – 2007, he was elected by his colleagues world wide as a Vice President of Mambo Foundation Inc. He is also one of a members of the core development team. When the team branched out to further develop a new CMS under the code name 'Joomla!' (in 2005) he and LaiThai team were also there to contribute and drive Joomla! even further. The new web site JoomlaCorner.com was created to provide relevant information about Joomla. Currently, Akarawuth and his team are the only group in Thailand who are working closely with the core development group of Joomla! They are working in various teams, including the Translation Working Group (Thai / Lao Language), the Joomla! Event Working Group and the Joomla! Bug Squad,Google Summer of Code 2009 Mentor. Akarawuth Tamrareang is also known as Krit and is JoomlaCorner on the Joomla! Forum.
