This week was about what happens when automation goes wrong. Added per item failure tracking to the item state table, so a rule that fails records why and when. That feeds three things: the automation log shows the reason, the failure email includes it, and the same reason is compared against the stored one so an administrator is not emailed every fifteen minutes about a fault they already know about.
