Topics

Test environment

We are working on getting a ready to test environment that we can use for quick testing and offer it if needed to a11y testers outside JAT and Joomla Community.

Till now we have been working with the environments offered by launch.joomla.org but some members find it very slow at times (though others have shown no concerns with the performance of the test sites).

JAT private documents and resources

We are moving JAT documentation to the proper folder in the Joomla organization inside Google Drive.

Participation in GAAD Italy

We participated in GAAD Italy on Saturday May 23rd. In this conference Donato and Vito showed the state of accesibility in Joomla 3 and the inprovements added to Joomla 4.

Also Team Leader and Luca Marzo participated in this event.

Define a test report model for the team

We have started to work on a simple test report model for team members and bug busters to use and test and have a standard way to meet Accesibility.

Extending our call for volunteers to the a11y club

Vicepresident Elisa Fotlyn offered to be liaison with the a11y club to extend our call for volunteers and find more people outside our community. We are providing a blog post so that they can promote it.

Exploring a11y-checker plugin for TinyMCE

We have been asked to check the status of the a11y-checker integration for TinyMCE. Former Production DC Harald Leither offered some valuable information to keep track on this.
