Discussion outline
Current status
We still have a big number of open issues in the tracker, but i’m going to look at this in a more positive way than before, a special thanks to the folks from India which have runned a 2nd edition of PBF, so a special thanks for the folks from @tekdinet @techjoomla:
Reported Issues:35, Patches Tested:60, Patches/PRs-sent :11 https://twitter.com/parthlawate/status/1191544740702851072, just a small tip, next time please get in in touch with the jbs team, some time before, we can try to be more helpfull and more supportive, anyway a very good example, on how to give something back to the community
Api / Webservices + CLI
We have noticed some good activities on the new J4 API / Webservices features, for those who want to help in this direction, please contact me or any of the involved joomlers, there is a Glip room specific for this task, anyway any helps on this is very appriciated, i’ll try to contact/invite all the people that are interested, as we think this is a very important feature that can make our beloved CMS a step beyond, as personal side note, even the CLI side need more care or volunteer/contributor, if you prefer. for the same reason as before, make J4 runnable from different ways.
Repository permission levels
Even if it is still a Work In Progress, it seems that we are quite near, that all the active Joomla Bug Squad Team members can have some TRIAGE permission on the github repo, thanks to Harald for taking care of this task, we hope that we can contribute more at the project, and lower a little bit, the huge works that this kind of project request from the few active contributor
Datetime real NULL status
This work is quite complete, a big Thanks to Richard and to all the people that have helped on this huge task, now we should be mysql 8 compatible, and now we are looking at other side of the project, that maybe, need the same bit of care, the framework for example.
