Current Status
We have made some progress with 144 closed issues 66 new issues since last month. We have discussed that the area of focus is JavaScript with the new issues coming in and could use additional volunteers that are knowledgeable with JavaScript.
Election
Candidates for the position were as follows: Nicola Galgano
Voting will take place via message to Sandra Decoux who will handle tallying the votes and providing the results to the JBS chat room once completed.
Update
Election results:
12 members have voting right, and 12 members did vote. Results:
- 10 votes for Nicola
- 2 abstained
Nicola is the Team Leader for one more year. Jacob has been chosen for the Assistant Team Leader role.
Issue Tracker Process
Progress has been made on the draft. The focus of the next team meeting will be to hash out this document to ensure that all volunteers understand the lifecycle of an issue that is reported as well as the expectations of what is expected for an issue to be understood. After this meeting we will expect to have a final copy ready for the PLT to review.
Issue Tracker Labels versus Github Labels
It has been noted that certain labels do not carry over to Github and vice versa between the issue tracker. A request has been opened in the JIssues tracker to synchronize Github labels with the Issue Tracker. This will ensure minimal confusion when PRs are created and new issues are created that labeling is consistent
How to address all of the small issues in J4
We have a lot of small issues (minor coding style changes, CSS tweaks, ect.) that are being reported and have PRs. We are looking at each and using the outlined priority process to adjust the priority of the item to ensure those items that are important for J4 beta are shown as higher priority for testers as well as those who make PRs. We would expect that the smaller items will be worked and merged as we move through beta.
Next Meeting
The next team meeting will be: Fri, March 27 at 7:00 PM CET
