On this monthly meeting of the JBS, we talked about the "Pizza, Bugs and Fun" event, the handling of feature requests on the issue tracker, the new schema.org-feature in Joomla 5.0, a weekly sprint and how to attract new people to the JBS team. As has been announced on joomla.org already, we are going to have a "Pizza, Bugs and Fun" event on August 26th. Additional information will be posted here. I also talked to the Teamlead of the Maintenance Team regarding the handling of feature requests in our issue tracker and the team will discuss this on their next meeting and get back to us about this.

Lately, a new feature was merged into the branch for Joomla 5.0, which implements structured data based on the schema.org standard. The implementation of this feature raised some criticism and a discussion ensued what the JBS could be doing here. In the end, it was agreed that the JBS is the wrong receiver of this message and that the criticism should be directed towards the maintainers or the maintenance team lead.

At the end of the meeting, the idea of a weekly sprint similar to the maintainers sprint on wednesday was brought up. I will evaluate when to best do this and propose something soon. In addition, the question was how to attract additional people to the team and I promised to contact several people until the next meeting and well before the PBF.
