The Joomla! Certification Marketing Team (MT) meets every 2 weeks on Monday at 20:00 PM CET. This meeting was held on November, 14th, 2016 on Glip.

Team members

In attendance:  Richard van Tilborg, Andrea Kekán, Adamzy Lee, Andrea Gentil.

Absents: Elisa Foltyn, Sarah Watz, Rogelio Alvarado, Eric Lamy, Mike Veeckmans, Johan van der Velde, Luca Marzo.

Discussion Outline

  • Richard asked Andrea K. to give an update about styles of the Certified Users Directory. Changes will be implemented by Oscar this week after a bug fix. She checks if they also can use responsive tables.

  • Website: Several people (Richard, Patrick, Johan, Luca and Andreas) are working on our website certification.joomla.org. They created a temporary subgroup.

  • Andrea G. worked on the calendar issues and archive issue. She will work on the Social Media plan again this week.

  • Richard asked Adamzy for info in Cote d'Ivore for Certification Exam price. He’s doing some more research because an exam price of $154 doesn’t feel right.

  • Ecuador price will be determined too by Richard, based on Andrea K.’s information.

  • We are late with publishing news by miscommunication but will catch up this week.

  • Richard gave a summary of the exam at JoomlaDay Italy. 5 out of 11 passed with good scores. He has learned a lot in Rome and about language barriers and the Community. We are now going to find 'bridge builders' that help the JCP to become a success in each country. We will start doing that by providing an even better Learning Guide for people that do not want to participate in training by JLPs (let's see them as semi-professionals that also mainly visit JUGs to learn about Joomla!). Besides that we want to position JLPs as training partners for professionals. There are two groups. One is a group that wants to improve their skills with good guidance and is ready to pay for that. The another group is people that do not need a long training, but more like a 'wake up training' to refresh their memory about the Joomla! core features.

  • Next meeting will be on 28 November 2016 - from 20.00 to 21.00 our CET.

All of these meeting notes are not final and cannot be used as a reference.

Meeting ends after 70 minutes.
