The Joomla! Certification Operations Team (COT) meets every Thursday at 1:00 PM GMT. This meeting was held on October 20th, 2016 on Glip.

Absents: Chris Keen, Hector Mansilla, Johan Van der Velde, Todd Woodward, Andre Dreier, Pablo Pantoja, Richard van Tilborg.

Discussion Outline

  • Patrick reported news from the last Steering meeting.

  • Marketing Team is working on the Certification website in order to improve the UX.

  • COT discussed about handling fees for Exam hosted at JoomlaDays and JUGs.

  • At the moment, due to undergoing changes, the Exam Platform doesn’t allow people at JUGs and JoomlaDays to pay their seats directly via the Platform, so JUGs and JoomlaDays organizers must currently act as JLP, buying the exam seats for candidates. (This is a temporary measure).

  • JoomlaDay and JUGs organizers may apply as Service/Handling fee of maximum 10 EUR / 10 USD in order to cover the PayPal/Stripe fees while handling the payments. This is just to face the temporary “limit” of the platform. When the platform will be ready to allow people to pay directly for their seats, the service/handling fee won’t be allowed anymore.

  • Steering group will discuss again on the above measures at next meeting.

    • JoomlaDay Italy with Luca Marzo and Richard van Tilborg  as Supervisors (November 12, 2016)
