The JCP January monthly team meeting was held on January 13th, 2021 at 18:00 (UTC) using Google Meet.

General points

The team discussed the following topics (documents / proposals)

Exam Maintenance Process

We reviewed and approved the proposed process for writing and reviewing exam questions and answers for the various exams. We will now look at our options to implement this process using currently available or new components or tools.

J!4 and other exams for 2021

We reviewed the proposal regarding the possible exams the JCP will offer in 2021 (and 2022). These will be finalised once the exam maintenance process is implemented and the new exam exam platform is fully tested and working.

JCP Goals for 2021

We also reviewed the goals the JCP has for 2021. We will continue working on these, as they are partly dependent on the first two topics.

Website and Exam platform

Certification site: Upgrade Moodle from 3.4 to 3.8.x, on PHP7.4 and MySQL 5.7: 
After successful testing on the sandbox environment the PHP upgrade and Moodel upgrade have been implemented on the live Certification website.

Shika: (new exam platform):
We are continuing to test Shika and the new exam platform and will intensify this process over the next months.

Operations and Marketing
There are no updates from the Operations and Marketint team (mainly due to the lack of exams).

J!4 exam(s)
We are now preparing for the J!4 exam(s) and an update of the J!3 Administrator exam.

The J!4 Administrator Exam should be available approximately 6 months after the J!4 release date. This gives the JCP team enough time to complete the questions and answers based on the released version (including any initial bug fixes). This period will also give users sufficient time to use and learn J!4 and for them to prepare for the exam.
