Some members of the Joomla! Certification Program met at the Joomla! Super Sprint in London.

Team members

In attendance: Luca Marzo, Patrick Jungbluth, Stefanie Thielmann, Michael Snoeren, Richard van Tilborg, Sam Suresh, Chris Keen.

First day summary

  • The overall group talked about the strategy for 2017.

  • Team decided and implemented a policy about data and workflow management for the project and sent out a newsletter to all team members.

  • Team decided also how to handle questions to the Community that now are forwarded to all the subteam leaders in order to better address them to the right person and team.

  • Team also discussed a policy about how and store data of the program in Google Drive.

  • Team discussed also how to manage translations of the Exam. First language in which the exam will be translated is French. Starting date of the translation process will be announced as soon as the Question Maintainance Tool will be ready.

Platform Team

  • Completed the work on the Certified Users Directory component.

  • The following new features are added;

    • Certified users can get embed code and embed their badge in their websites

    • Certified user profiles are now SEF friendly and social sharing features are added.

    • LMS Upgraded from 3.1 to 3.2 Major Release

    • Fixed multiple badges in listing. standardized to one badge only

    • Standardize one exam for Version 3 and removed other exams (with randomization feature)

    • Add new Safe Exam Browser features with Wifi, Reload, Time, Keyboard Layout buttons in the toolbar functions

    • Enable URL Rewriting to work with SSO

    • User avatar bug is fixed

Exam Team

  • The Exam Team has worked on the processes for the question maintenance system.

  • Structuring the process for new questions

  • Defining the reviewing process for questions

  • Set up the first version of the component for the maintenance system

  • Tested the basics

Marketing Team

  • Discussed questions which are asked often to CMT like the process of buying exams, the right style for banners, Google Drive, how to motivate or remove team members

  • Summarizing topics for upcoming newsletters
  • Creating content / write newsletters

  • Creating graphics

  • Settings our goals
