Joomla! Certification Steering Team Meeting (6 June 2017)

 

The Joomla! Certification Steering Team meeting was held via Glip

 

• In attendance: Sam Suresh, Luca Marzo, Richard Van Tilborg, Andrea Gentil, Oscar Ortiz, Chris Keen

Important Notes:-

• Exam results are final and cannot be negotiated. Team lead reminded all sub teams to avoid such request because results cannot be changed because of circumstances.

• OSM Approved budget of 17,000 for July 17- July 18 fiscal year.

• A new course named Supervisor Orientation will be created by CPT and COT to recruit Supervisors and train them on technical issues and measures.

Action Plan:-

• Exam rules will be added to exam screen.

• [Backlog] New checklist on platform testing to establish and members from all team to test each process before go live on major updates to prevent bugs

• Each team to submit budget on Friday.

Marketing Team Report by Richard Van Tilborg

• Reported IP block by Rochen at JAB 2017 during exam.

• Exam requests. We have received Exam session requests / intentions from Sweden, Algiers, Uganda and Israel.

• JAB17. Besides the exam technical issue, visiting JandBeyond was a very successful trip. We have connected to many people from other teams, event organizers and (user) groups. I can say we increased exam awareness and created new leads for other exam sessions.

 

Platform Team Report by Sam Suresh

• Platform Team will work on every week from last week (compare to bi-weekly)

• Last week mainly discussed on new extension. Michael to update tomorrow.
  Chris shared QMS which I made some improvement and to return the outcome to him on tomorrow.

• Asked Rochen to remove MODSEC rule that blocking IP because of SEB Browser that mimics FIrefox. This is because SEB uses XULRunner.exe from Firefox.

• We discussed the status of the QMS - still in development by the CPT.
  Updated the "Guidelines for Exam Team Volunteers" document.
