Joomla! Certification All Team Meeting (11 July 2017)


The Joomla! Certification All Team meeting was held via Glip

Meeting Outline:-






There was one order from a customer in unconfirmed status because paypal confirmation was not received (Probably the customer did not return to merchant after payment). Treasurer confirmed payment received.

Candidates are encouraged to buy exams earlier and ensure order status is CONFIRMED  green.

This notice will be added on purchase page to prevent such issues in the future.

eCommerce extension developer was contacted to investigate further.

All new volunteer applied as developer was contacted.

Richard reported the one candidate who had issue in his order during JoomlaDay UK 2017.

This created an unpleasant situation in the exam.

Candidates are requested check order status after payment is made.

Due to exam content and data protection no candidates will be enrolled to the exam in any situation unless their order status is confirmed.

Therefore, we need to prevent such failures in the future.

Not having read access to paypal/paypal email notification is another challenge we facing to verify transactions details quickly when problems occur.

Sam will write an email to this candidate to explain the situation.

In the past 11 months of operation, we have learnt many new things in certification. Many improvements have been done and many new problems identified.

The most important thing is how we overcome each problem and prevent it from occurring again.


We had some delays processing applications from JLPs

Currently 5 applications as JLP are under review. Outcome/Next steps to be defined today/tomorrow.

Need to receive the Supervisor Report after JoomlaDay UK.
