By Achilleas Papageorgiou on 2019-08-23 07:08 in Compliance Team

This meeting of the Joomla! Compliance Team has been held on August 21, 2019 at 16.30 CET on Glip.

Participants

In attendance: Achilleas Papageorgiou, Luca Marzo, Sandra Decoux, Roland Dalmulder, Sander Potjer, Alkaios Anagnostopoulos.

Discussion outline

  • Luca shared with the team his suggestion that the Cookie Policy should present cookies in more user friendly way. He suggested that the policy should include the common cookies found on all joomla.org properties in a single page and separated sections for each property with tables presenting the property-specific cookies. The team agreed that this is a more user friendly version.
  • Alkaios to adapt the above changes to the Cookie Policy. After that, the team agreed that it will be ready to be published.
  • During the past weeks, Sander made all the needed changes to the categorization of cookies on the Cookie Script on GitHub.
  • Achilleas has been unanimously re-elected as Team Leader. Each of the voters provided also a brief feedback on his previous work. Team is very satisfied and motivated.
  • The team received a request to provide feedback on a privacy related RFC on GitHub open by Nicola Galgano. The team worked on an answer to serve as guidance for developers. Roland to share the response on GitHub on behalf of the team.
  • All items regarding the Cookie script on properties (message to Webmasters, cookie audit per property results, scripts audit per property results, cookie script test implementation on a test property, the upcoming Cookie policy text) were prepared to be shared with the Webmasters Team for review and comments towards the final implementation.
  • Sandra to share the above items with the Webmasters on their common channel on Glip.
  • Sander and Roland continue their work based on the open GitHub issues regarding the SSO/IdMS.
  • Achilleas raised the need for a well- structured documentation apart of the code part, regarding what the SSO/IdMS will offer and how the designed/provided flow will offer the compliance solution the community is waiting for. This will help all the parties involved to easily understand what this service will offer. Also this will contribute towards the documentation the organization should keep and the future modification and explanation that should be included to the Privacy policy after the SSO/IdMS launch.
