Discussion outline

Luca welcomed all the participants from the different CMSs and projects.

Chris introduced the status of the GDPR initiative in Drupal.

Heather shared the status of the GDPR tools in WordPress.

Luca introduced the GDPR tools of the Joomla 3.9 Privacy Tool Suite and described the activity of the Joomla Compliance Team.

Alan shared information about the features introduced in Umbraco to comply with GDPR, such as Consent API, Data Export, Sensitive Data Fields.

The group discussed the issues faced at a project governance level.

Each representative shared the internal governance method of the represented Project.

In some projects, it has been or still is difficult to create a team to work on a dedicated feature or project, with teams received no official support from the Project.

Starting from next meeting, the Group will start working on guidelines.
Mission statement
Create a common space for CMS teams to create and support privacy teams on the project and governance levels; provide guidance on implementing the Privacy by Design framework across the development workflow; share practical advice, code libraries, legal briefings, UX patterns, and useful resources; provide a space for general discussion, advice, and a sounding board for each other in support of our projects
