An informal continuing conversation regarding past and present education outreach initiatives on behalf of Joomla. The conversation is open to any interested parties. We are working to curate existing resources and provide encouragement and assistance to anyone looking to improve education about Joomla. The focus of this working group is to create the framework.

Topics Discussed

  1. Q&A with Programs DC

    •  Office Team - proposal, motion, and evidence to Board

      • Proposal: benefits, uses, what makes an official resource, will there be badges, what types of resources, skill levels, etc.

      • Jaz suggested inviting Luca to the next meeting

    • Trademark Update - current site implies it is approved by Board; suggestion to use for now;

  2. Joomla Community Magazine (JCM)

    • Magazine Articles document library created for articles to be considered for submission to JCM.

    • Laura submitted an article about a course taught for New Jersey students in May 2020.  

  3. Motion JEO 2020/001: Define a new objective for the working group to create a proposal that covers defining educational resources with the aim of becoming an official Joomla program.
    Proposed by: Todd Woodward, Seconded by: Laura Gordon
    Motion passed unanimously.
