Reviews: Hugh Douglas-Smith
- We seem to have an issue again with the link to reviews in tickets.
Tickets: Dénes Székely, Mark Lee
- We often find extension download links to become outdated due to newer releases of the extension. So proposed ways to resolve this before the release of JED 4:
- To demand a version-neutral link to be added to JED which points to the latest version available
- To state that if the link in JED does not point to the latest available version this constitutes a reason to have the extension delisted, and if the issue is repeated we can even propose to be banned.
- We need a clear defined path documented about how to deal with listing disputes. In the case of “stolen” or “illegally forked” extensions, we need:
- to develop a methodology how to handle these situations and make it public,
- the minimal steps should be to ask for proofs of what happened,
- then who and how takes the decision on what’s next - like if and how we contact the “offender”, what measures can be taken - from turning down the request to banning the offender OR the original submitter if the claim proves to be false/not well enough sustained by evidence, etc. It is a repeating issue.

- Notice of ticket transfer
A clear method of notification that a ticket has been transferred from other departments including notes made by the transferer on that ticket. - External Dealing with tickets
Anyone dealing with a ticket should allow CM to be involved instead of having a judge dread system. - Non JED items
A clear process for non JED items has not been clarified - Next JED version
Next JED version discussions to involve CM directly
