1. Joomla Selected for GSoC 2025!
   Joomla has been officially selected as a mentoring organization for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to mentor talented contributors and advance key areas of the Joomla ecosystem.

2. Welcome Session – Meet & Greet
   A successful welcome session was held with all selected contributors and mentors.

   • Introductions between contributors and admins.

   • Overview of project timelines and expectations

   • Clarification of collaboration tools, workflows, and best practices

3. Setting Expectations
   Topics covered during the onboarding session:

   • Contributor responsibilities and timelines

   • Use of GitHub, Mattermost, and Joomla documentation

   • Effective communication and feedback loops

4. Administrative Tasks Completed

   • Access to repositories and tools granted

   • Onboarding forms and project agreements completed

   • Code of Conduct and documentation standards reviewed
