The first Joomla! AI Framework project kickoff session was successfully held on May 11, 2025. The meeting was attended by Benjamin Trenkle, Charvi Mehra, Eoin and Shivam Rajput.

Key Accomplishments

• May 10:
  • Participated in the Joomla! GSoC Kickoff Session
  • Interacted with mentors, other GSoC contributors, and core team
  • Assigned to prepare introduction article for Joomla Magazine (due May 13)
• May 11:
  • Completed first draft of introduction article for Joomla Magazine
  • Conducted architectural discussions on AI integration using generic abstraction layer for multiple providers
  • Shared project documentation and initial research
• May12 - May 21:
  • Limited availability due to exams. During this period:
  • Attended official GSoC welcome session
  • Completed PHP fundamental course to gain better understanding of PHP for AI integration
  • Maintaining communication with mentors via Mattermost

Next Steps

• Finalize introduction article for Joomla Magazine
• Complete research on Drupal AI integration patterns
• Resume full project activities post-examinations
