The Marketing Team is working on different tasks, to optimize the output of the marketing Team:

 

Volunteers:

  • The meetings are well attended. Between 6-8 attendees.

  • Day to day work we have between 2-4 volunteers. It’s too less.

  • We started actively welcome volunteers and collect them on Glip in the “Marketing Onboarding” Chat.

  • The engagement our volunteers are our biggest problem. The reasons can be:

    • In our end

      • Bad organization

      • Unclear tasks

      • Bad communication

    • Other reasons

      • Less time

      • Complicated entry into the Marketing Team, because of the overwhelming complexity

      • Too much bureaucracy

  • This is one the main tasks to get the Marketing Team attractive and volunteer friendly environment again.

  • Planning a new Joomla 4 Video

  • A printed Magazine

  • Podcasts

  • Reorganize and clean the Marketing google Drive folder

  • Promote 3.8

    • Organize the new Landing Page

    • Banner Ads

    • Blogposts

    • Video

  • Revamp the joomla.org Landing Pages and add:

    • New Core Features Page

    • Use Cases Page

    • Benefits Page

  • Research & compile a list of good videos about Joomla from Youtube

  • Interview for Joomla 3.8 with some involved people

  • Analyse Who is Joomla Survey and post insights

  • Move forward on some aspects of the Agency campaign

 

Plan for the next sixth months

  • Concentrate on the Joomla 3.8 and Joomla 4.0 Release
  • Get more volunteers engaged
