Joomla VET Meeting Minutes

27th November 2019 6pm UTC

Scheduled length of time: 1 hour

Rowan has started the meeting by explaining the volunteer Christmas and New Year cards. She will order the cards. The active volunteers will get the cards at the end of the year. Then she explained about Joomla!- Forum for the future event. The event will happen from 16 - 20 Jan 2020 in London, UK. Jaz has explained the importance of the event, in that event future strategy of Joomla will be planned.  Rowan left the meeting after that.

 

Vikas has explained about the documents and requested members to comments especially on retention and recognition section of the strategy document. The FAQ document is finalized, thanks to help from Chris Keen. Jaz will review the document and upload to the website.

The December meeting will be held on the 2nd or 3rd week, depending on confirmation from team members. Generally VET monthly meeting planned at the end of every month. Due to xmas holidays, the December meeting has been preponed.

1. The signature can have at most two languages. One language is English (UK). Other language is left to the discretion of the volunteer.

2. If volunteer is involved in more than one team then he may list upto three teams depending on their importance. Selection of the teams is left to the discretion of the volunteer.

3. The signature should include Joomla! Logo and link to its website, https://www.joomla.org/

 

Benjamin Trenkle has accepted responsibility of training volunteers in terms of Joomla values and organization. We need one volunteer to work with him. 

 

Vikas has emphasized on need to statistics of volunteers activities, new recruitment related requirements. They should be published on a monthly basis. The participants has suggested that VET should provide general guidelines which team leaders can submit the data in each monthly meeting. Regarding publishing grievance information, it should be taken on a case by case basis. EU DSGVO - 2018 also application that case. 

 

PS: Some VET members have suggested to do text based meeting the VET Gilp group. Next meeting may be text based.
