Discussing the features with detail

Select and Integrate the Tool / Javascript Library - Create the Diff View

We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of different libraries. Shortlisted are http://prettydiff.com/, https://github.com/cemerick/jsdifflib and https://codemirror.net/demo/merge.html.

Load the correct overridden file

We decided that we want to show the differences of Overrides, alternative Overrides and JLayouts.

Show message/ Create Notification after update/upgrade

We will use http://php.net/manual/de/function.md5-file.php to check if a file has changed. In the case of an Joomla! update the administrator will be informed.

Setting up initial tasks for community bonding / Create Projects in Github Repository https://github.com/joomla-projects/gsoc18_override_management

Anurag will write a blog post to introduce the project. Also he will create projects on github.
