Google Summer of Code Team

  • News from Summit, GSoC 2020 announced 
  • We did a good job with our students, discussion with other orgs and admins about their student selection and participation this year
  • Ideas to promote Gsoc with Joomla to various famous universities 
  • Overall a great event
  • Admins will start preparing Gsoc 2020 application and build team of mentors by Mid December, 2019

Bug Squad

CMS Release Team

  • J4 alpha released
  • 50 bugs fixed in j4 at the PBF - Thankyou!
  • Work ongoing to release beta in about a months time

Documentation Team

  • The PBF19 was a big success. Over 2.000 translation edits are done
  • Many Joomla4 help pages are created and have to be completed when beta is released

Joomla Enhancement Development Team

  • Workflow Working Group: Start working again: removed hard-coded conditions, created first plugin implementation

Software Architecture & Strategy Team

  • Meeting planned for nov 26 with marketing and osm on vision and collaboration (will delay contributing to haralds doc)
  • Alternate template by kawshar to be put in projects repo (rebased to latest alfa12).
  • Interacting Volunteer Engagement Team

Security Strike Team


  • RIPS upgrade to 3.2 finished during ATT sprint, better detection and fewer false positives. 3.3 will allow us multiple concurrent scans, further improving the performance
  • Removed 3 inactive team members and added 1 new member
