Learned to program the 6502 (legendary Motorola processor, base for later cpu's powering the all-known Commodore 64), when I was fifteen. When we knew everything in the then elementary BASIC language, we switched to Assembly. Later followed Pascal on early x86's. After college this was followed by COBOL and some database-stuff on MVS, RPG and DB2/400 on AS/400. The next big thing was WebSphere moving into the web-application scenery. Old stuff!!! Doing PHP, some JS, looking at Python (for automation), while Vagrant/Docker have my interest too. Did I mention Go yet?

Coming from the Mambo era, I was reluctant to jump on the new Joomla train. However when I joined a company that appeared to be shipping Joomla 1.5 websites, it was easy to board. Since than I have deployed hundreds of Joomla 1.5 and 2.5 websites, largely through bash scripting.
Currently only doing some side projects with Joomla next to a nearly fulltime job automating market research.
Never a dull moment!
