It was a written meeting so that all members can read the discussion afterwards.

  • Crystal will help in setting up documentation.
A lower-level goal that would help is starting to document the a11y features in Joomla, even if it's in the current JDOC setup. It's not ideal, but at least the content would be there somewhere while we try and figure out the broader implications of the docs in general.
As far as documenting snippets/components/patterns, this seems like a good template that we could adapt and fill in with whatever content we already have:  https://pauljadam.github.io/a11y-standards/starter-template.html
Target group are users and extension developers, we what joomla uses for beeing accessible and our code snippet. We cannot replace WCAG.
  • Joomla tagged a11y issues on github. We will add an own template for a11y issues on github
    Possible fields:
    WCAG guideline in violation?
    Affected users / assistive technology?
Crystal will create PR here:  https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/tree/4.1-dev/.github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE
  • A virtual PBF event with focus on a11y - end of June? Reach out to Social Media Team and Marketing Team.
