Certification Operations Team - Meeting Notes - August 04, 2016

The Joomla! Certification Operations Team (COT) meets every Thursday at 1:00 PM GMT. This meeting was held on August, 4th, 2016 on Glip.

In attendance: Luca Marzo, Andre Dreier, Arjen Schrijvers, Pablo Pantoja.

Absents: Chris Keen, Deb Cinkus, Johan Van der Velde, Sam Suresh, Patrick Jungbluth, Richard van Tilborg, Hector Mansilla, Todd Woodward.

Luca reported news from Steering Meeting.
Certification Team completed successfully the second Pilot Test. The Joomla! Exam Platform works well. Platform Team will work to improve the Certified Users Directory.
Platform Team onboarded a Developer as new member and he will work on the Certified Users Directory.
Exam Team reviewed a couple of questions to improve the quality of the test.
Operations Team provided OSM contracts for JUGs and JoomlaDays organizers.
Contracts should be approved by OSM’s Board of Directors.
Luca refactored both application forms for JUGs and JoomlaDays and asked Richard to change the website in order to publish new forms.
The “Host Exams” page on Certification Website will be improved.
Luca developed also new forms for screen and process applications as JUGs and JoomlaDays, to improve efficiency of the evaluation processes within COT.
Next steps: RC application form will be refactored and a new form to screen such kind of applications will be developed.
If contracts will be ready, we plan to approve an exam session at JoomlaDay Malaysia on mid-August.
All pending/incomplete applications as Joomla! Learning Partner will be rejected next days and people will be invited to re-submit the application using the new form.
