Discussion Outline
-
Luca reported news from the last Steering meeting.
-
The whole Certification Team is currently under restructuration in order to reach compliance with the new methodology and structure of the Joomla! Project. In particular team opened a call for nomination in order to select the new Team Leader of the Certification Team.
-
Exam Team is currently working on the Learning Guide for JLPs.
-
Last week Radek Suski fixed for us some issues on the Exam Calendar, so Team would like to say a big thank you to Radek.
-
Team discussed about the Refund policy for Exams at JoomlaDays that are paid directly to OSM via the Exam Platform. If a candidate who booked the exam seat via the exam platform cannot attend the exam he can ask for refund only sending the reason of no-show via email to certifcation@community.joomla.org . Candidates will be eligible for a full refund if the request has been sent at least 7 days before the exam session. 50% refund will be applied for requests sent at least 72 hours before the exam sessions. After that period, no refund is applicable, except for special reasons reported by the Exam Supervisors.
-
Joomla! Learning Partners can handle refund policy by themselves. Furthermore Team suggested to JLPs to assign exam seats to candidates just few minutes before the start of the exam sessions, in order to prevent the “no-show” issue. Booked exam seats (but not yet assigned) can be used in other sessions by JLPs.
-
Team created a Glip channel for Regional Coordinators.
-
Regional Coordinators are involved as Team Contributors for Operations Team.
-
Team discussed about Travel Reimbursement Process for team members attending Community Events on behalf of the Certification Team. Travel Refund will be applicable only for who attends major events: Joomla! World Conference, JandBeyond and JoomlaDays. A cost/benefits evaluation will be done for each request.Team is working to create a form allowing team members to ask for the reimbursement. This application should be done before the Travel in order to allow CT to decide whether to use or not the Team budget for such a travel. Each application should contain the Motivation, the expected costs (detailed by items: airfares, accommodations, food) and the expected benefits that Team will receive from such participation.
-
Richard shared the pre-release version of the Welcome Pack for JoomlaDays organisers. Team reviewed this document and Richard sent the whole Welcome Pack content to the Joomla! Marketing Team for the final review/approval.
