Team news

We are now looking to recruit two new team members, an Operations and Marketing Coordinator and a Platform Developer. 

We will be posting the full details shortly and sharing these in the Community Openings article in the May Joomla Community Magazine.

Operations and Marketing

We are looking for a volunteer to coordinate and carry out the various Operations and Marketing tasks and processes.

There are no other updates from the Operations and Marketing team (mainly due to the lack of exams).

Website and Exam platform

Shika: (new exam platform):

Jeroen has been testing the new exam platform according to the test plan. At this point in time we have not found any 'show stoppers' with Shika itself, but have some problems with the question management component.
We now lhave a vacancy for a Platform Developer to join the team to help us with this and to further develop the JCP exam platform and the Certification website (https://certification.joomla.org/)

J!3 exam update

We are now preparing to update the J!3 Adminstrator exam to Joomla v 3.10. By doing this, firstly, we can still support candidates who went to certify for J!3, which will still be supported for two years. Secondly the updated J!3 exam will be used as the base for the J!4 version of the exam. Thirdly, we can use the updated J!3 exam to 'test' the new exam platform (Shika) in preparation for offering the J!4 version, and eventually other exams.
We are currently adapting our question management system to be able to review and update any outdated Questions and Answers (Q&A's) and add new Q&A's for new functionality.
We have also recruited two Exam Maintainers who will help us update the J!3 version of the exam and then work on the J!4 version. We hope to start working on this from the beginning of May.
