I have a background in Unix/Sun administration and coding in languages ranging from Fortran to VB.NET to SQL, HTML and PHP, etc. I've been involved in CMS's since PHPNuke and Mambo and used Joomla since 1.5, using it to implement many sites. I've written/hacked/customised extensions for clients and also worked on other open source projects such as osCommerce and osCMax. I work as a developer and also a book publisher so can do most things from Photoshop through to analysing a situation and designing and coding a custom solution to fix the situation. I've worked for the UK Ministry of Defense, for corporate banking in London, for companies based in Hong Kong, New Zealand, USA and the UK. I've run and project managed teams but nowadays tend to work from home. I have worked within the Joomla! organisation for over six years and have been the Extension Directory Team Leader for the last four years.
