I've always been interested in some type of content management, from my earliest days running bulletin board systems attached to a modem to Vice President of Technology for a learning management solutions company to starting Arc Technology Group, where we built a custom Java based content management system in 2000. That passion has always been there.
In 2004, a client of ours needed a robust, open source, and community driven CMS. We knew what we had in-house was too technical and not user friendly enough. After a long search we stumbled upon Mambo. From there the choice was easy, Mambo turned into Joomla. The user experience, performance, security, and most importantly, a robust community of integrators, developers, designers, and core contributors has inspired and motivated me to use Joomla, make a living from Joomla, and contribute to Joomla.
