The Joomla! Steering team meets weekly on Tuesday at 1:00 PM GMT. This meeting was held on April 11, 2017 on Glip.

Discussion Outline

• Operation Team reported

  • Fixed issue with JCP Contracts. The new president is in place.

  • This week Luca and Patrick will start arranging the work on the workflow extension.

  • COT Workflow Extension: we have several volunteers from India and USA.

  • Arjen will be responsible for Regional Coordinators.

  • Luca presented a new version of the Regional Coordinator “program”:

    • rebranding: Certification Ambassadors

    • enabled to Supervise at JUGs

    • first certified user(s) in a country are contacted to become local ambassadors and spread awareness

    • create a group of contributors in JVP in which people can see/know our local ambassadors

    • involve them in translation of the marketing material

• Marketing Team reported

  • We are engaging with JoomlaDay Organizers to check if they are open for JCP presentations and/or exam sessions.

  • Transferring the Welcome Packages to the website.

  • We cancelled an in-company exam in Denmark until further notice.

• Platform Team reported

  • Creating new component com_Certification_Session to handle:

    • Ability to create new coupon code

    • Ability to add new exam session and appoint supervisor

    • Supervisor submit report from here

    • Fetch exam results and email to steering team automatically

    • Badge to pending users awarded. 3 from Florida and 1 from NL.

  • Looking for new members.

  • Additional volunteer will be involved for certain part of development for a short period.
