I started with Joomla back in 2005 when it was still Mambo... At that time, I was looking for an easier way of doing things especially repetitive things on websites.
I had even proposed a name for Joomla when we were trying to give the project a name... :D
I have been developing websites in Joomla since 2005 up until today.
While I am by NO means a real PHP developer, I have dabbled in upgrading a couple of extensions to Joomla 3.x, which were even listed in JED.
I have also been running a small boutique Web Hosting company for the past 14 yrs.
I have attented the 1st Worldwide Joomla Conference in San Jose, CA and was happy to put faces to names that I had come across in the many years of being involved with the great Joomla community.
While I have setup some Drupal, Wordpress and other CMSs for websites and even maintained a couple of them for clients, I am particularly unhappy with WP and find that for clients and for myself, it is way more complicated than they claim.
I find Joomla to be much easier and logical and more importantly much better at being purpose agnostic.
I'm was also a member of my local JUG in San Francisco when I lived there and have always contributed where I could including in FB Groups. I look forward to helping others in whatever way I can with Joomla.
